Together Through Art: a silent auction

Original art from youth across Canada will be showcased throughout the conference and will be up for auction! Each artist, who has lived experience of mental health problems or illnesses, uses artistic expression that promotes recovery, empowerment and individuality. The silent auction will begin during the opening session on June 4 and run until the closing luncheon on June 6. All proceeds will go directly to the artist and their studio so prepare to take home a new piece of art.

Focusing the Frame: a photo exhibit

Seven individuals who are part of the At Home/Chez Soi project, the MHCC’s homelessness initiative, were able to share their experience of being homeless and living with mental health problems or illnesses through photographs. Their exhibit teaches us about their journey, what their housing means to them, and the impact At Home/Chez Soi is having. It also challenges us to consider some of our existing notions about homelessness and mental health. Please join us to see how these participants share their stories through the lens of a camera. The exhibition will take place during conference hours on the Penthouse level.
